A spaceship (called UFO by humans) is a common form of transportation for extraterrestrials, able to travel at enormous speeds. The only full appearance of a spaceship on the show was in the title sequence of the first season and in "The Thing That Wouldn't Die, Part 2" (which was merely a novelty prop bought by Harry for the farewell party). Apparently the ships have a "flying saucer" shape, a popular description by humans. Like Earth vehicals, they also have a stereo system. ("See Dick Run")
